Nicknames

Control and filter member nicknames

Checks member nicknames against words you block and fixes names that break the rules (for example by resetting them or using a name you choose). A bulk rename can search and replace text across everyone's nickname.

Set it up

  1. Switch on Nicknames

    Dashboard → your server → Modules → Joining & Welcome → Nicknames. It starts off, like every feature.

  2. Open Nicknames in the sidebar

    Its settings save as you change them and work straight away.

  3. Enable Nickname Filtering

    Automatically filter inappropriate or disruptive nicknames

  4. Block Special Characters

    Remove nicknames with excessive special characters

  5. Block Zalgo Text

    Remove nicknames with zalgo/glitch text

  6. Block Hoisting Characters

    Prevent nicknames starting with ! or symbols to appear at top
