Verification
Choose how new members prove they read the rules (or are real) before they can chat
Choose one way on the Verification page: a website link (sign in with Discord, with alt detection and optional rules and code word on the page), typing the code word from your rules in your verify channel, a button and a private code word box, a button to agree to the rules, reacting to the rules, or a quick emoji or maths check. Every way gives the verified role (and any extra roles), can take a "not verified" role away, logs to your channel, and can hold brand-new accounts for staff. Works with custom bots too.

Settings
Everything on the Verification page of the dashboard. Changes save as you make them.
- Enable CUB VERIFY
- Give new members a verification link: by DM, in your verify channel, or both
- Verified Role
- Granted after successful verification
- Unverified Role
- Removed after verification (optional)
- General Log Channel
- All verification events (joins, completions)
- Alt Detection Channel
- Alt/risk warnings — separate private channel recommended
- DM the link
- Each new member gets their own link by DM.
- Post in the verify channel
- A welcome with a Verify button; pressing it gives that person their own private link. With DMs on, someone whose DMs are closed is welcomed here too.
- Verify channel
- Where new members verify, e.g. your #verify. The link itself is never posted: they press Verify and get their own private link.
- Welcome in the verify channel
- The message new members see in the verify channel, telling them what to do. e.g. Welcome {user}! 👋 Press Verify below to get your personal link and get into {server}.
- Remove the welcome after (seconds, 0 = keep)
- A permanent Verify message in the verify channel, for anyone who missed their welcome.
- DM Message
- Variables: {user} {server} {link} {time} (deadline before kick). If a kick time is set and you don't use {time}, the deadline is added automatically. e.g. Hey {user}! To access {server}, please verify your account: {link}
- Read and agree to the rules
- Before signing in, members see your rules on the verification page and tick a box to say they agree. They can't verify without it.
- Code word from the rules
- Hide a word in your rules and ask for it, so members have to actually read them. The answer is checked on our server and is never shown on the page.
- Which rules to show
- If your Server Rules are empty, the text below is used.
- Tick-box wording
- The text beside the box they tick to agree, for example "I have read the rules". e.g. I have read the rules and agree to follow them
- Rules text
- Shown as plain text. Up to 6000 characters. e.g. 1. Be kind. 2. No spam. 3. The code word is pineapple.
- Code word
- Capitals and spaces don't matter. Accept more than one answer by separating them with commas (up to 5). e.g. pineapple
- Question
- A question they must answer to get in, such as one from your rules. e.g. What is the code word hidden in the rules?
- Hint under the box (optional)
- A small hint shown under the answer box. e.g. It's in rule 3.
- Wrong answer message
- What they are told when the answer is wrong. e.g. That is not the code word. Read the rules carefully and try again.
- Tries before a pause
- How many wrong answers before they have to wait.
- Pause length (minutes)
- How long they wait after using up their tries.
- Quick picture check
- Before signing in, people tap the emoji they are asked for. Stops scripts that go straight to the sign-in.
- Browser check (proof of work)
- The visitor's browser does a little maths before it can sign in: a second or a few for a person, a real cost for anyone verifying hundreds of accounts. Nothing about them is collected.
- Remember Verification
- When on, members who already verified are auto-given the verified role if they rejoin — no re-verification. When off, a rejoin clears their record and they must verify again (a new link is sent).
- Alt Detection
- Cross-check new members against ban history and IP fingerprints
- Block VPNs and proxies
- Refuse verification from VPNs, proxies and hosting networks, which alt accounts use to hide. The address is checked, not stored.
- Detection Mode
- Applied when risk score meets or exceeds the threshold
- Hold Risk Threshold (0–100)
- Risk score at which "hold for review" triggers
- Minimum Account Age (days)
- 0 = no minimum age requirement
- Kick Unverified After
- Members who still have the unverified role this long after joining are automatically kicked. Requires an unverified role to be set.
Commands
Who can use each one is up to you: the "Who can use this" card on the page, or Command Access.
