Word Filter

Advanced word and phrase filtering

Deletes messages containing words or phrases you list, or matching patterns you write. Choose what happens (delete, warn or more), the warning message and the log channel. A bypass-proof option also catches l33t speak, look-alike letters and spaced-out words.

Set it up

  1. Switch on Word Filter

    Dashboard → your server → Modules → Message Filters → Word Filter. It starts off, like every feature.

  2. Open Word Filter in the sidebar

    Its settings save as you change them and work straight away.

  3. Enable Word Filter

    Automatically filter blocked words and phrases

  4. Blocked Words (one word or phrase per line)

    Messages and names containing these are caught.

  5. Blocked Regex Patterns (one regex per line)

    For advanced patterns, for example to catch a word with numbers in it.

  6. Filter in Nicknames

    Also check nicknames for blocked words

Settings

Everything on the Word Filter page of the dashboard. Changes save as you make them.

Enable Word Filter
Automatically filter blocked words and phrases
Blocked Words (one word or phrase per line)
Messages and names containing these are caught. e.g. one word or phrase per line
Blocked Regex Patterns (one regex per line)
For advanced patterns, for example to catch a word with numbers in it. e.g. one regex per line

Use Wildcard Matching
Match partial words (e.g. *bad* matches "badword")
Bypass-proof
Also catch the usual tricks: l33t sp34k, look-alike letters from other alphabets, 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 text, s p a c e s or d.o.t.s between letters, hidden zero-width characters and stretched letters. Words under 4 letters only match as whole words.
Action on Violation
What happens: delete, warn, mute or kick.

What the member is told. e.g. Your message contained a blocked word
